Smoke Disclosure Now Required

Sellers of homes must now disclose in writing known tobacco/nicotine residue or history of smoking on properties being sold . Failure to do so can result in a major lawsuit by the buyer of a residence. Homes that had been occupied by smokers often sell for 30% to 40% less than clean homes. A renter that smokes can now destroy the equity of the owner built over many years.
