Guidelines for HOA Board Campaigning
- All candidates running for the board must have equal access to association facilities or common areas. The board can establish areas to post materials.
- The board may not spend HOA funds to favor any particular candidate. Candidates must spend their own funds. Homeowners may also spend their own funds to promote candidates.
- There are no limits on the time permitted for campaigning except that candidates may not interfere with the election process.
Campaign materials do not require approval by the board. Candidates should always be careful not to defame anyone.
