Contracts – Approval Process

Contracts with contractors and vendors must be authorized by the board of an association and reflected in the minutes. Likewise, contracts should be signed by a board member or members after board approval as opposed to the property manager acting as the association’s agent. If a board member signs a contract on behalf of the association, he or she should sign as follows:

Acting as agent for the
ABC Homeowners Association
